Discover Adventure approached Nationwide Engineering to provide a Value Engineering solution to their new Head Office building based in the heart of Wiltshire.
Discover Adventure approached Nationwide Engineering to provide a Value Engineering solution to their new Head Office building based in the heart of Wiltshire. Discover Adventure specialises in cycling and trekking fundraising trips across the globe and was started by Jonathan Bryan in 1994. Working closely with major charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Cancer Research, WaterAid, Help for Heroes and Horatio’s Garden to name just a few, this facility needed to provide state of the art facilities whilst complementing its chosen rural setting.
We adjusted the design to a steel portal frame finished with a sustainably sourced timber cladding and a high thermal efficiency in order to ensure that the Air Source Heat Pump system required minimal power to run the entire building. The project was completed in just 6 months from mobilisation to site and involved an intensive period of commissioning whilst the old head office was shut down and the company moved to the new premises.
