The Project
Elliott's is a long standing Builders Merchants in the Hampshire/ Dorset Region, that Hibberd Development have a long association with. In July 2020 we were contracted to construct a new facility for Elliott's on the outskirts of Lymington in the New Forest.
This new depot provide 5,500m2 of external concrete pavement storage and 1800m2 of show room & sales floor area.
Groundworks for the project included installing a 210m3 attenuation tank and 650l petrol interceptor. Due to previous use of the site we also screened and disposed of 200t of asbestos contaminated sub soil.
The development is a two storey steel framed building linked to a separate steel framed storage building with a covered canopy area for a new drive-through contactless sales facility.
The building was designed and built by Hibberd Development to be energy efficient, it achieved an A rated energy performance certificate utilising the latest lighting and heating technology.
The depot opened in March 2022 and provided Elliott’s with their largest sales and showroom facility within their group.
