The Project
Southern Quarter required a Multi-Functional Facility to start their Fitness and Lifestyle Business which included activity areas for Cross-Fit, Powerlifting and Ju-Jitsu.
The company started promoting itself by opening a small coffee shop which developed into a successful business in itself which prompted the client to increase their requirement for larger catering facilities in the new facility.
The site is located on Solstice Park, Amesbury which is a large business park just off the A303. Hibberd Development were able to provide the client with a plot of land suitable for their needs by completing a cut and fill exercise to allow the structure to be situated on the plot whilst complying with planning conditions to keep the building as low as other buildings on the business park.
The structure is steel frame with mezzanine level and balcony, the footprint of the building is 750m2.
There is a large Gym floor area with impact reducing floor and timber wall cladding. Underneath the Mezz there is a Powerlifting area along with and Office, Therapy Room, Toilets, Changing Facilities and Passenger Lift. Upstairs there is a Ju-Jitsu room, large café and kitchen with outdoor seating as an Office and Toilet facilities.
