The Project

The Companies House building in Cardiff is a government facility responsible for the registration and oversight of companies in the United Kingdom.

Refurbishment works to the building involved the comprehensive efforts to enhance, upgrade, and revitalize the existing structure.

The 1st Floor Repository – High Level asbestos abatements conducted by Tersus Consultancy. Works involved the safe removal of all asbestos insulating board contained within the repository 1st floor to allow remedial actions to the end bearings as specified by Mott Macdonald. All works were licensed and carried out in conjunction with a LARC.

As part of the life cycle replacement (LCR) programme being rolled out currently by the GPA, a new HV switchgear was installed to a purpose built external GPR enclosure. Built with the specific requirements of housing high-voltage equipment.
